A native of Buffalo, New York, Suzi McGowan has worked her way into the entertainment industry with great results. After she joined forces with Righteous Babe Records (righteousbabe.com). Along with Scot Fisher she helped Ani DiFranco transform "RBR" from a small business run out of an apartment to a full fledged record company with national distribution and world recognition.
In 2003, Susan brought her energy, insight and PR experience to Odessa Pictures as art director and supervising producer.
Suzi has earned screen credits on several feature documentaries and broadcast documentaries, and has worked as field director and producer for several television shows including the Rachael Ray Show, and programs airing on ION Network and The Discovery Channel.
In
addition to working on the production of films, documentaries, and programming, Suzi has served as a judge for the 2009 and 2010 Emmy Awards (Northeast Region).
In the spring of 2010, PBS aired another project the she co-propduced that told the story of the history of social work in Upstate New York.
Currently Suzi is co-producing a major independent feature film with Buffalo filmmaker Peter McGennis called Queen City that is starring Vivica A. Fox.
